Rosemary Mezcal Negroni

If you love the smokiness of mezcal along with the smokiness of torching herbs for your cocktail, this is THE one for you. For bonus rosemary flavor (and sweetness) add a little bit of rosemary simple syrup!

Ingredients:

  • 2 rosemary sprigs

  • 1 oz mezcal

  • 1 oz sweet vermouth

  • 1 oz campari

  • garnish: orange twist

Directions:

  1. Carefully light rosemary sprig with a wooden match until smoking — carefully place on fireproof surface. Flip a chilled rocks glass upside down on top of the smoldering rosemary to capture the smoke.

  2. In a separate cocktail mixing glass, add sweet vermouth, campari, and mezcal. Add ice and stir for at least 30 seconds.

  3. Strain into the rocks glass over a large ice cube.

  4. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprig and orange twist.
