Psychocandy Hot Buttered Rum

As we anticipate the upcoming holiday season and looking for ways to stay toasty during colder weather, I think it’s time we give our festive drinks an uncommon spin. This winter pumpkin drink with @augustuncommon Psychocandy Tea, with rich rooibos, pumpkin and caramel, is the perfect match for rum and butter.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp August Uncommon’s Psychocandy Tea

  • 1 oz dark rum

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 1 sugar cube

  • garnish: cinnamon stick

Directions:

  1. Add a sugar cube to your mug. Place a tea mug infuser inside of your mug and add 2 tbsp of Psychocandy loose leaf tea.

  2. Pour approximately 8-10 ounces of hot water and allow the tea to steep for 5 minutes.

  3. Remove tea mug infuser and add dark rum and stir.

  4. Add butter.

  5. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
