Bijou
The Bijou was invented by Harry Johnson, who called it the Bijou because it combined the colors of three jewels: gin for diamond, vermouth for ruby, and chartreuse for emerald. This prohibition-era style cocktail is extremely boozy and the flavors are strong! Dilution is key to balancing out the forward floral flavors of this drink.
Ingredients:
1 oz sweet vermouth
1 oz Green Chartreuse
1 oz gin
brandied cherry
Directions:
Add all ingredients into a cocktail mixing glass. Add ice and stir for at least 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a brandied cherry.
