Peppermint Mocha Espresso Martini

We all know the absolute hold espresso martinis have over us this year, and this Peppermint Mocha Espresso Martini has just taken this obsession to an entirely new level… one of your favorite seasonal coffees has just gone boozy!

Regardless, no matter what type of espresso martini you’re making, please don’t make the mistake of skipping the step of cooling your espresso! If you dump a piping hot espresso shot into your cocktail shaker with ice, it’s going to dilute the cocktail big time. You’ll be wondering why your drink is so watered down.

Ingredients:

  • ¾ oz peppermint schnapps

  • ½ oz chocolate liqueur

  • ½ oz heavy cream

  • 1½ oz vanilla vodka

  • 1 shot espresso (chilled)

  • garnish: cocoa powder + mini candy cane

Directions:

Combine the peppermint schnapps, chocolate liqueur, heavy cream, vanilla vodka, and the chilled shot of espresso into your cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously for thirty seconds. Strain into martini glass, and garnish with sifted cocoa powder and a mini candy cane.
