Miso Hot Buttered Rum

If you’re a sucker for a good hot buttered rum like myself, ya gotta try this cinnamon-miso twist with Gosling’s Rum new Spirited Seas Ocean Aged Rum ✨

This special blend of Goslings Rum traveled for a year over the Atlantic in charred American white oak barrels, giving it hints of salted caramel and spices — the saltiness from the butter and white miso gives it a little extra kick and it’s SO so so perfect for this fall weather!

Ingredients:

  • ¾ oz orgeat syrup

  • 2 oz Goslings Spirited Seas Ocean Aged Rum

  • 6-8 oz hot water

  • 1 bar spoon of cinnamon-miso butter

  • Garnish: cinnamon stick

Directions:

  1. Add orgeat and rum into a mug and stir to combine. Add hot water. Top with cinnamon miso butter. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

  2. To make the cinnamon-miso butter, whisk together 1 stick of room temperature butter, 1 tbsp white miso paste, ½ cup brown sugar, and 1 tsp ground cinnamon. Refrigerate until ready to use, but it’s best used at room temperature so as not to cool down the cocktail.
