Avocado Margarita

Avocado is truly a slept on ingredient to add to your cocktails (you’d add it in your smoothie, wouldn’t you!?). It adds a layer of rich creaminess and it balances perfectly with a spicy, smoky mezcal.

Ingredients:

  • ½ oz agave

  • juice of 1 lime

  • scoop of avocado

  • 1 oz triple sec

  • 1 oz tequila reposado

  • 1 oz habanero infused mezcal

Directions:

Add agave, lime juice, and avocado into a cocktail shaker and muddle. Add booze and ice and shake. Strain over fresh ice and garnish with a salt rim and lime wheel!

You can also choose to blend your ingredients if you prefer a smoother texture :)


HABANERO INFUSED MEZCAL

Ingredients:

  • 3 habanero peppers

  • 3 cups mezcal

Directions:

  1. Carefully slice habanero peppers (it’s probably a good idea to wear gloves, as you do not want to touch your eyes by accident!).

  2. Add the habaneros to a glass jar along with the mezcal. If you want it stupid spicy, feel free to add some of the seeds, too.

  3. Let it infuse for a few days (anywhere from 2-4).

  4. Strain out the habanero peppers through a fine mesh sieve.
