Immunity Spritzer
We love a good n healthy Mocktail Monday! I love the taste of the immunity boosting shots, so I wanted to make a drink that allowed to savor all of that fresh flavor a bit longer ;)
Ingredients:
3-4 inch knob of ginger, peeled & smashed
3-4 inch knob of turmeric, peeled & smashed
rind and juice from 1½ lemons
½ cup honey
½ cup water
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 pinch of salt
sparkling water
Directions:
Add peeled and smashed ginger and turmeric to a small sauce pot along with lemon rind, lemon juice, honey, water, turmeric, and salt.
Bring to a boil and allow it to reduce about by a fourth of the way, and darkens in color. Let cool and strain into an air tight container.
Add 1 oz of the spiced honey tonic syrup into a tall glass along with a few lemon wheels and sparkling water. Mix to incorporate.
