Campari Gin Sour

If you like Negronis and gin sours, this is the cocktail for you: It’s slightly bitter from the Campari, but balanced beautifully with the brightness of the lemon, sweetness of the sugar, and velvety-ness of the egg white.

Ingredients:

  • ½ oz simple syrup

  • 1 oz lemon juice

  • ½ oz campari

  • 1½ oz gin

  • 1 egg white

  • garnish: dehydrated lemon wheel

Directions:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, add simple syrup, lemon juice, campari, and gin. Shake with ice for approximately thirty seconds.

  2. Strain out the ice, add the egg white, and shake again (vigorously), to ensure you are emulsifying the egg white! *This is known as the reverse dry shake.

  3. Strain contents of the cocktail shaker through a fine-mesh strainer into a coupe glass and garnish with a dehydrated lemon wheel.
