The 1910

This riff on a classic Martinez is perfect for a nightcap sipper: it’s strong, stirred, smokey, and definitely not for the faint of heart.

Ingredients:

  • 2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters

  • 1 oz sweet vermouth

  • ½ oz maraschino liqueur

  • ¾ oz cognac

  • ¾ oz mezcal

  • garnish: orange twist

Directions:

Add bitters, sweet vermouth, maraschino, cognac, and mezcal into a cocktail mixing glass. Add ice and stir for approximately thirty seconds (dilution is key to perfecting this cocktail!). Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with an orange twist.
