Tarragon Italian Greyhound

This floral twist on a traditional Italian greyhound cocktail is perfect for your Galentine’s get togethers — and it’s super easy to batch!

Ingredients:

  • ½ oz tarragon syrup (batch: ½ cup)

  • 1 oz Cocchi Rosa (batch: 1 cup)

  • 2 oz Vodka (batch: 2 cups)

  • 2-4 oz fresh grapefruit juice (batch: 2-4 cups)

  • 2 fresh tarragon sprigs (batch: 8-10)

  • optional: sparkling water

Directions:

In a cocktail shaker, combine tarragon syrup, Cocchi Rosa, vodka, grapefruit juice, and a tarragon sprig. Add ice and shake. Strain into your favorite cocktail glass and garnish with a fresh tarragon sprig. If you like your drink on the bubbly side, top with some sparkling water!
For a batch cocktail, add the tarragon syrup, Cocchi Rosa, vodka, fresh grapefruit juice, 6 tarragon sprigs (optional to add grapefruit slices!) to a punch bowl or pitcher and stir to combine. Serve and top with optional soda water.

TARRAGON SYRUP

  • ½ cup cane sugar

  • ½ cup water

  • 3 large tarragon sprigs

Directions:

To make the tarragon syrup, simply add ½ cup cane sugar and ½ cup water to a small sauce pot and bring to medium heat. Once sugar dissolves, add 3 tarragon sprigs and reduce heat to low to simmer.
