GLASSWARE: THRIFTED ROCKS GLASS

After visiting El Barón in Cartagena, Colombia, inspired me so much with their cocktail menu! I had to try to recreate some of them at home — this one is a rendition of their “Press Box.”

Ingredients:

  • ½ oz orgeat syrup

  • ¾ oz lime juice

  • 1 oz aperol

  • 1¼ oz mezcal

  • 5-7 drops spicy bitters

  • garnish: black lava salt + dehydrated lime wheel

Directions:

Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously for approximately thirty seconds, until chilled. Strain into a rocks glass, garnished with black lava salt, over fresh ice. Garnish with a dehydrated lime wheel.
