Dehydrated Citrus

You know how much we love dehydrated citrus over here! If done properly, and all of the excess moisture is removed, they can last up to two years!). If you’ve ever wondered how to make this lovely + effortless garnish at home (without a dehydrator!) here’s how:

Ingredients:

  • citrus of choice: grapefruit, lemon, lime, etc.

Directions:

  • Take a moment to assess the sharpness of your knife! this is a critical step to ensure accurate slicing (and to avoid accidents)

  • slice citrus into ≈ 1/8” wheels

  • line citrus on a rack on a baking sheet

  • bake at 170°F for 7-9 hours

  • store in an airtight container (for up to two years if all of the moisture is removed during the baking process)!
