Maple Orange Sour

I’m a sucker for a good sour — but what makes a good sour, good, you ask? FRESHLY SQUEEZED CITRUS. Trust me, it makes a difference — especially when the main ingredient is citrus!

Ingredients:

  • ½ oz maple syrup

  • ½ oz lemon juice

  • ¾ oz orange juice

  • 2 dashes aromatic bitters

  • ¾ oz amaro nonino

  • 1½ oz dry gin

  • garnish: orange peel

Directions:

In a cocktail shaker, combine maple syrup, lemon juice, orange juice, bitters, amaro, and gin. Add ice and shake for thirty seconds. Double strain into a coupe glass and garnish with an orange peel. *Optional: grate fresh nutmeg on top as an additional garnish.*
