Italicus Spritz

I know January is a time where some of us like to reset, especially after the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, so I’d love to spend some time getting back to basics! Whether that is with low-ABV/non-alcoholic cocktails or with more spirit-forward cocktails, let’s strengthen our skill sets!

This is a simple Italicus Spritz, which can be considered a variation of an aperitif. An aperitif is to be enjoyed in the early evening, and meant to “open the appetite.” Traditionally, you’ll see them with sparkling wine (like Prosecco—think of the beloved Aperol Spritz), but when you’re looking for a super low-alcoholic option, just adding soda water to your favorite liqueur is definitely suitable!

Ingredients:

  • 1½ oz Italicus Bergamot Liqueur

  • top with soda water (can add as much or as little as preferred)

  • garnish: 3 castelvetrano olives

Directions:

Add ice to your favorite glass (can be stemmed or stemless! Whichever one makes you happy!). Add Italicus, top with desired amount of soda water, and garnish with 3 castelvetrano olives. Enjoy!
