Golden Berry Bee Sting

GLASSWARE: THRIFTED NICK & NORA GLASS

This Golden Berry Bee Sting is a spicy riff on the classic Bee’s Knees, so here’s for all the tequila lovers out there!

Golden Berries have a tart, tangy, tropical flavor to them, somewhat reminiscent of pineapple and mango. Typically, you can find them peeled, but they are very similar to tomatillos in that they’re wrapped in a paper-like husk that must be removed before eating. They’re a great source of Vitamin C!

Ingredients:

  • 3 goldenberries

  • ½ oz hot honey

  • 1 oz lemon juice

  • 5 drops spicy bitters

  • 2 oz tequila ańejo

  • garnish: tajin + golden berry

Directions:

Add golden berries (cut in half), hot honey, and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker and middle. Add spicy bitters and tequila along with ice and shake. Double strain into a tajin-rimmed coupe glass and garnish with a golden berry half.
