Chamomile Apricot Manhattan

Time for another fun infusion! I saw a bag of apricots on sale at Trader Joe’s and I couldn’t figure out what to do with them, until I recently got on this home infusions kick.

The chamomile and the apricot work really nicely with each other to balance out the strength of the rye whiskey, and the end result is slightly sweet, slightly tart, and deliciously floral. I really like Lo-Fi’s sweet vermouth for this because there isn’t any caramel coloring or unnecessary additives — it’s complex without being overpowering.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz chamomile apricot infused rye whiskey

  • 6 drops aromatic bitters

  • ½ oz sweet vermouth

Directions:

Combine ingredients into a cocktail mixing glass and stir for approximately 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with an edible flower or a brandied cherry.
