Celery Gimlet

GLASSWARE: THRIFTED ROCKS GLASS

A very lovely and herbal riff on a gimlet to get ya greens in! Adding the small touches of both the salt and the white wine vinegar really brighten up this cocktail — don’t knock it til ya try it!

Ingredients:

  • 5 inch celery rib, sliced

  • ½ oz lime juice

  • ½ oz simple syrup

  • pinch of salt

  • 1½ oz dry gin

  • ½ oz green chartreuse

  • 2 dashes of white wine vinegar

  • 4 dashes celery bitters

  • garnish: leafy celery rib

Directions:

  1. Slice the celery and add it to a cocktail shaker along with lime juice, simple syrup, and salt. Muddle.

  2. Add green chartreuse, gin, white wine vinegar, and celery bitters.

  3. Add ice and shake until chilled.

  4. Double strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and garnish with a leafy celery rib.
