Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini

The basic girl in me needed to combine my love for pumpkin spice and espresso martini. Once you make this pumpkin spice syrup, you’ll want to use it on pretty much everything…

Ingredients:

  • ½ oz pumpkin spice syrup (recipe below)

  • oz coffee liqueur

  • 1 oz espresso (chilled!)

  • 1½ oz vodka

  • garnish: ground pumpkin spice + espresso beans (3)

Directions:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, add pumpkin spice syrup, coffee liqueur, espresso, and vodka. Shake vigorously to create a frothy head.

  2. Strain into your favorite coupe glass.

  3. Garnish with espresso spice and three espresso beans.

*If you don’t have espresso, you can use cold brew concentrate!

Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ½ cup water

  • ¼ cup pumpkin purée

  • 1 tsp pumpkin spice mix

Directions:

Combine sugar, water, purée, and spice mix into a medium sauce pan and bring to a simmer. Once mixture is dissolved and smooth, remove from heat and let the flavors steep while the syrup cools completely (about 30 minutes to an hour). Once cooled, transfer syrup into an airtight container.  Store in the refrigerator for about two to three weeks.

*If you do not have pre-made pumpkin spice mix, you can make your own! Combine 3 tbsp groups cinnamon, 2 tsp ground ginger, 2 tsp nutmeg, 1½ tsp ground allspice, and 1½ tsp ground cloves.
