Immunity Spritzer

We love a good n healthy Mocktail Monday! I love the taste of the immunity boosting shots, so I wanted to make a drink that allowed to savor all of that fresh flavor a bit longer ;)

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 inch knob of ginger, peeled & smashed

  • 3-4 inch knob of turmeric, peeled & smashed

  • rind and juice from 1½ lemons

  • ½ cup honey

  • ½ cup water

  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • sparkling water

Directions:

  1. Add peeled and smashed ginger and turmeric to a small sauce pot along with lemon rind, lemon juice, honey, water, turmeric, and salt.

  2. Bring to a boil and allow it to reduce about by a fourth of the way, and darkens in color. Let cool and strain into an air tight container.

  3. Add 1 oz of the spiced honey tonic syrup into a tall glass along with a few lemon wheels and sparkling water. Mix to incorporate.
