Golden Cherry

This cocktail should be the reason you buy a bottle of Italicus. This bergamot Italian liqueur is made with rose petals and has light notes of refreshing citrus. It pairs perfectly with the pleasant sting of lemon juice and subtle sweetness of ripe cherries.

Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe cherries, sliced & pitted

  • ½ oz simple syrup

  • ¾ oz lemon juice

  • ¾ oz Italicus liqueur

  • 1½ oz gin

  • sparkling water

  • garnish: lemon twist + whole cherry

Directions:

In a cocktail shaker, add cherries, lemon juice, simple syrup, and muddle. Add Italicus, gin, ice, and shake. Strain over fresh ice into a coupe glass, and top with sparkling water. Garnish with a lemon twist and stemmed cherry.

This cocktail would also do well with vodka if you’re not the biggest fan of gin!
