Cucumber Sake Sour

GLASSWARE: thrifted coupe

This sour is so unbelievably refreshing and smooth, and a little lower in alcohol content than your traditional gin or whiskey sour because we’re using sake! Sake has some lovely, delicate flavors that work so well with the freshness of cucumber and citrus.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cucumber slices

  • ½ oz lime juice

  • ½ oz lemon juice

  • ¾ oz simple syrup

  • 2½ oz sake

  • 1 egg white

  • garnish: cucumber ribbon

Directions:

  1. Add cucumber slices, lime juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker and muddle.

  2. Add sake and egg white and shake without ice to emulsify the egg white.

  3. Add ice and shake again.

  4. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with cucumber ribbon.
