Lavender Bee's Knees

This lavender bee’s knees with Asian Rose Gin is all of your springtime dreams come true. If ya haven’t heard, ATIAN is a brand new South African gin and I’m so excited to be a part of its launch! We all know how much of a gin lover I am — this rose gin is distilled with delicate botanicals with a crisp citrus and spiced rose taste. It’s absolute perfection in this lavender bee’s knees.

Ingredients:

  • ½ oz lavender honey syrup

  • 1 oz lemon juice

  • 2 oz ATIAN Rose gin

  • 1 egg white

  • garnish: dried lavender flowers

Directions:

  1. To garnish your coupe (or Nick & Nora) glass, start by painting on (with a silicone brush) a bit of the lavender honey syrup and delicately sprinkle on the dried lavender flowers.  Set aside.

  2. In a cocktail shaker, add the lavender syrup, lemon juice, ATIAN Rose gin, and egg white. Shake without ice for thirty seconds until frothy.

  3. Add ice and shake again to chill.

  4. Double strain into your garnished coupe glass.

LAVENDER HONEY SYRUP

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup honey

  • ½ cup water

  • 2 tbsp dried lavender flowers

Directions:

To make the lavender honey syrup, combine honey, water, and dried lavender flowers into a medium sauce pan and bring to a simmer. Once honey is dissolved, remove from heat and let the flavors steep while the syrup cools completely (about 30 minutes to an hour). Once cooled, strain out the dried lavender and transfer syrup into an airtight container.  Store in the refrigerator for about two to three weeks.
