Honey Rose Old Fashioned

I think we all know my love language is making cocktails, and this honey rose honey old fashioned romance in a glass. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Ingredients:

  • rose water

  • ¾ oz honey rose syrup

  • 4 dashes cardamom bitters

  • 2 oz bourbon

  • garnish: dried (or real & edible!) rose petals

Directions:

Spritz (or rinse) a rocks glass with rose water and set aside. In a cocktail mixing glass, add syrup, bitters, and bourbon with ice and stir for approximately 30 seconds. Strain over a large ice cube in your rose water spritzed glass. Garnish with dried rose petals.


HONEY ROSE SYRUP

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup honey

  • ½ cup water

  • 1 tbsp dried rose petals

Directions:

Combine ½ cup of honey, ½ cup water, and 1 tbsp of dried rose petals to a sauce pan and bring to a simmer. Remove from heat and cool completely. Strain out the rose petals and store in an air tight container in the refrigerator for two weeks.
