Harridan Martini: The 1965

This Harridan Vodka martini is the answer to a hot summer night. The addition of orange oil compliments the silky fruit-tones of the vodka and olive-infused vermouth. It’s well-balanced, and if you’re thinking of venturing into the vodka martini territory, this would be an approachable variation to try first.

Learn about the story behind Harridan Vodka! Locally made in New York and female-owned, it’s absolutely a vodka you could (and should) get behind.

Ingredients:

  • 2½ oz Harridan Vodka

  • ½ oz dry vermouth (optional: infused with Castelvetrano olives)

  • 1 bar spoon of orange oil

  • garnish: orange twist + Castelvetrano olive

Directions:

  1. Optional do ahead (1 week prior): Remove Castelvetrano olives from brine (important! Make sure you don’t purchase olives in oil, but brine) and place them in a mason jar. Fill the mason jar with dry vermouth. Let infuse, refrigerated, for approximately 1 week.

  2. Combine Harridan Vodka and infused vermouth into a cocktail mixing glass with ice. Stir for around 30 seconds, until chilled and appropriately diluted.

  3. Strain into a martini glass. Drop a bar spoon of orange oil on top.

  4. Garnish with an orange twist (don’t forget to express the oils!) and vermouth-soaked castelvetrano olive.
